The
White-throated Sparrow, Zonotrichia albicollis, is a common
winter visitor from Arizona to New York and along the west coast of the
US. It often appears at feeders, but its preferred habitat
is hedgerows, thickets and woodland edges. This
sparrow is at Welkinweir, an estate in Chester County,
Pennsylvania with 197 acres of natural lands that include a 47 acre
arboretum.
