This Peregrine Falcon, falco peregrinus, an endangered species, lives on top of the highest building on Brigantine Island NJ, the former Brigantine Inn., during the fall and winter.   I often watch from close range behind the curtain of my apartment window or from the balcony as he devours his prey, in this case, a Northern Flicker, which appears to be his favorite fall food.
