| A California Gray
Whale fluke, taken in March 2004, in the Magdalena Bay, Baja,
Mexico. Early spring each year many California Gray Whales go to the
Magdalena Bay to have their young. The month of March is an
excellent time to view many whales at a relatively close distance.
Each year these whales migrate from the waters off Alaska to waters off the Baja
Peninsula. Whales are the largest animals alive today and are thought to
be among the smartest. |
