This Great Horned Owl, Bubo virginianus,, has just caught a rabbit for breakfast.  I happened to find him on a limb near his nest at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge in Philadelphia PA (Tinicum Marsh) where he watched me intently for a few minutes and then flew away to consume his prey.   What a privilege to observe this daily routine where one creature consumes another to continue the ever evolving life of the planet!
