The Barn Owl. Tyto alba, is found nearly worldwide, being absent only from high latitudes.  It eats mice, rats and other small rodents.  Barn Owls consume twice as much food for their weight as otherb owls.  This injured owl has its home at the Shaver Creek Environmental Center near State College PA.
