The Bald Eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus, is the national emblem of the US and is found widely across the US and Canada.   On the decline for many years because of pesticide use, the Bald Eagle has recovered well.   This injured Eagle is at the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown PA.
