Andy Smith
Andy
Smith has lived in the Darby Creek Watershed in the town of Devon,
Pennsylvania for 20 years. After
completing a 35 year career as a campus minister and then, Director of
Social Responsibility in Investments for the American Baptist Churches USA, he
has consulted with corporations on building a sustainable society
and taught ethics and philosophy at Neumann College.
He now teaches ethics in the graduate program at
Penn State Great Valley one term each year. His formal education includes an AB in history from Duke
University, an STB from Harvard University and a PHD in Religion and
Society from Drew University.
Andy
has had a passion for photography for many years, developing a large
portfolio of slides from around the world during his travels for the
church. In the last several
years his interest in bringing people in touch with the natural world
has led to a focus on nature photography, with a particular emphasis on
birds.
His
award-winning photography has been exhibited at Neumann College,
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Drew University, Central Baptist
Church in Wayne Pennsylvania, the Ocean City Arts Center in New Jersey,
the Palmyra Cove Nature Center in New Jersey and the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum.

Andy also
has a booth at numerous art and craft shows in the Mid-Atlantic
