The Spectacled Caiman, Caiman crocodilus, is a meat-eating reptile that lives in fresh water habitats in South and Central America.   Caimans are most active at night, hunting fish (including piranhas and catfish), birds, turtles, reptiles, and mammals.  The Pantanal has over 32 million caimans.
