Most
of the north end of Brigantine Island, New Jersey is a natural
area, part of the Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. I often
enjoy walking along the beach there. One of the species often seen
in the fall is the Semipalmated Plover, Charadrius semipalmatus.
I lay down in the sand to get this eye-level view and like the
almost sepia effect from the soft light of a cloudy day.
