Black-collared Hawk 2

______________________________________________

The Black-collared Hawk, Busarellus nigricollis, feeds on fish, aquatic insects and mollusks.
It is found near wetlands and rivers in tropical Central and South America. It is normally fairly conspicuous, perching in the open at medium heights in trees or bushes. I like the way this one was looking directly at me.
