Black Skimmers, Rynchops niger, gather by the hundreds in the fall along the New Jersey Coast.   They are often found at rest along the shore or in graceful and buoyant flight in great flocks as seen here. This gathering place is at the south end of Brigantine Island where I caught the first rays of sun on their flight.
