A pair of Bald Eagles, Haliaeetus leucocephalus, built a nest in 2004 near Valley Forge Park, PA, and raised two young in 2005.   I photographed this eagle just after sunrise having just flown back to the nest to tend the fledglings. The Bald Eagle has made a major recovery from its threatened status and each year more nests appear in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and elsewhere.
