42.  Red Phase Eastern Screech Owl

This captive Red Phase Eastern Screech Owl, otus asio,  was part of a program on owls presented by the Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge.  The Screech Owl occurs commonly in forests along the River.  With its nocturnal activity it is more often heard than seen.
